SILVES - The attractive and historic City of Silves was once the capital of the Algarve. Standing proudly on a hill it can be traced back to existing some 1.000 BC. Evidence shows that it was already a place of note in Roman times but it really became an important place during its Moor occupation for about three centuries. Giving it the name of 'Xelb', they constructed lavish palaces and created the cultural centre of learning for the whole Iberian Peninsula.

LAGOS - There is rich and beautiful history within Lagos’ 14th-century walls, from its fortress to picturesque churches like medieval São João Hermitage and the 17th-century São Sebastião. Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you’ve had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.

SAGRES - Sagres once considered to be the end of the world by the Portuguese navigators prior to them setting sail to the East. It is at the extreme south western tip of the Algarve and is like no other destination in southern Portugal. It is a region for the adventurous, the intrepid, and those who seek to pit themselves against the wild environments. These dramatic landscapes are dominated by nature’s raw power; from the raging seas that carve immense cliffs, the bracing winds that create barren landscapes, through to the intense summer sun.
